  • Montgomery bus boycott

    Montgomery bus boycott
    Rosa Parks was told to sit at the back of the bus and when she refused, she was arrested. The following day a boycott against the busses was held.
  • Albany movement

    Albany movement
    A protest against segregation policies in Albany, GA.
  • Birmingham campaign

    Birmingham campaign
    A nonviolent protest. It occurred in hopes they would get arrested and the city jail would become full. It ended when segregation in restaurants and public places ended.
  • March on Washington

    Largest rally for civil rights. An estimated 200,000-300,000 participants. Also where MLK gave the "I Have a Dream" speech.

    Formed to protest segregated housing and employment/health disparities.
