    Wars of the French Revolution
    Post the French Revolution were a series of sweeping military conflicts between the French First Republic and several European monarchies, lasting from 1792-1802, known as the French Revolutionary Wars. Traditionally divided into the War of the First Coalition and Second Coalition, the battles gradually spanned globally. French victory and gain of territory paved the way ensured the sparking of revolutionary principals over much of Europe and the Middle East.

    The Napoleonic Wars lasted 12 years, from 1803-1815. The wars were a series of major conflicts, splitting the French country and pitting it against itself. Emperor Napoleon I led the French against a collection of European powers that had melded into various alliances. Napoleon’s Era concluded in 1815 after major defeats against both the Russians (scorched earth warfare) and at Waterloo, after his brief return to power.
