Moving to America
Alice was 25 years old when she decied to move to America. She wanted a new life, a fresh start. She also wanted to get away from her family. She sailed in first class. She took all of her clothes and belongings. On the way there she meet two friends, Eleonor and Rose. -
Legal detention
Alice got stuck in leagal detention for 3 weeks. That's when she had to say good bye to Eleonor and Rose. They said she was to young to travel alone. In that time she had to decide what she was going once she got out. After 3 weeks all her money was gone! -
Chicago
After almost most 2 years of living in Little Italy she decided to leave. She was tired of being nothing she wanted more to life. She headed to Chicago on a railroad. There she meet Roberto. He was also going to Chicago. -
Marriage
After 3 years Alice and Roberto decied to get married. They wanted to marry were they met. They met at the railroad staion by Little Italy. They decied to have a traditional Italian wedding. Their wedding date was set for May 24, 1879. -
Deciding to move west
Alice and Roberto decied that they were going to move west. They wanted more land and freedom. They talked to their friend in Chicago about about it. They all though that it was a good idea. One of their friends mention the Oklahoma land rush. So that's were they headed to Oklahoma. -
Wagon
On the journey to the west Alice almost died. In Springfield Illinois they met up with some other peole that were going west. One day Alice fell off the their wagon. Robert looked just in time and helped her to safety. Even though she did have broken foot. -
Oklahoma land rush
They finally arrived to Oklahoma. In few days later the people annouced that next week the land rush was going to start. Roberto and Alice got ready they bough two horse. Alice recovered from
the acciedent that happed on the way here. She was ready and good as new. -
Finding Land
Alice and Robert set out to find land. They finally found a peice of land that they could settle on. They decieded to have a farm for the horse and then for their children to take over. They settle near the green, beautiful mountains and the river. They start building a house by the river. -
Family
Roberto and Alice wanted to have children to help them in the farm. On Setptember 13 Anabella was born. Robeto's and Alice's first child. All of the people in the community gather around to celabrate her birth. They were so happy, especially Alice this is what she wanted all along.
