    in Ignatius became a knight under a duke called Antonio Manrique de Lara who was another relative

    His Turn to Christianity

    after a battle where he defended Pamplona Ignatius was heavily injured suffering a wound from a cannon-ball which had hit his leg. While being treated Ignatius was not getting better, in fact, he was getting worse and he was believed to of had no hope and that he would die it was at this point that he started reading about Jesus, and Saints as it was the only reading material allowed at the castle

    Repentance

    Ignatius left his family and went to Montserrat were confessed his sins and hung up his sword near the statue of the Virgin Mary
    for the next two years he would live as a begger

    Saint Ignatius and his six followers go to the crypt of the Church of Our Lady of the Martyrs, at Montmartre, and took vows of lifelong work.

    Saint Ignatius dies of a type of malaria called Roman Fever.
