A daughter, wife, and mother who is disdained by her husband, Russell, out of fear that his loving housewife's growing independence will soon put her out of his reach. Miserable Regina couldn't find an outlet nor a support system, not even from her mother who sides with Russell and is much of a headache, to help her through such a journey. Regina soon divorced Russell, leaving her and her now teenage kids, her daughter Michele and her son Darren, to live a new life. -

Regina meet her current best friends, Antoinette and Victoria, at Columbia University. Victoria is a successful, African American woman who graduated at the top of her class. While her childhood insecurities still haunts her, marrying the opposite race was one of her biggest accomplishments. Antoinette is a successful social worker, whose career field was influenced by her lower-classed family. By leaving her family in means to succeed, she struggles to manage her own family issues. -
3. The Daily News
Regina has lost her mental stability, for she has grew tired of the uncensored investigator job at the Daily New. The job that ruined her marriage, her only source of income, and her only known talent of journalism is being put to waste. Although Regina was at the head investigator at her firm and won many national titles for her articles she knew she no longer had the heart nor the mental capacity to carry out the job. She quit her job. -
4. The Epic Threat
After the divorce Regina sat idol in the house while the kids were at school day after day. After not seeing Russell for about three years, Regina was surprised to see him at her apartment doorstep. In uproar about financial stability, he threaten to take away his kids if she didn't find a new job soon. -
5. The Dairy Of an Angry Black Woman
After being threatened by Russell, Regina went to talk to her mother. Outraged by the fact that her mother, Millicent, encouraged Russell to take Regina to court, caused a massive argument between the two woman. That was the day Regina high headily told her mother to either support her decisions or stay out of her life. -
6. Dinner Gone Wrong
Regina, Victoria and Antoinette met at their favorite eating plate to catch up on their friendship. Shocked by Regina's disconnected attitude towards the conversation, lead to a series of questions by them both. Overwhelmed from the day and sudden questions, Regina took out all of her anger on her friends.She began to expose the harsh realities of her friends and herself. Regina knew this would distance their friendship since they never told each other what was on the others mind, and it did. -
7.The Ugly Truth Part 1
Antoinette now faced with her family issues, returned to a grand, well furnished, but yet again, empty house. Her husband, Charles, always worked late and her son, Steven, was nowhere to be found. All she wanted was to come home to a full house, for family time. Times like this ultimately saddened her because she felt as if it was her fault as to why no one liked to come home, because she was a control freak. -
8. The Ugly Truth Part 2
Victoria returned home uneasy from the dinner. Regina had triggered her childhood insecurities of her being teased due to the dark shade of her skin, her kinky hair, to her ever finding true love, and even her future success. As she walked up stairs to find her husband, Philip, she was able to vanish her thoughts. -
9. Her New Project
Regina's new mindset and drive to obtain a job had begun to kick off. She decided to go out on a limb and put all of her financial saving into opening her own book store. Driven by her passion and the thrill of everyone doubting her, Regina found and abandoned store and began construction. -
10.Russell's Crisis
Russell began to make unannounced pop ups on the kids, which was great since he missed three years of their lives, but it really Annoyed Regina. "You could of at least called," as she should always say. Although Russell enjoyed spending time with his kids, he really enjoyed being in the same environment as Regina. Deep down he began to miss his ex-wife. He had come to the realization of what an awful husband he was to her and he'd do anything to have a second chance at it. -
11. Friendship
The true bond of friendship has brought the three amigos back together. The desperate need for each of them to lean on the other through their final phases of repairing their harsh realities has glued them back together and closer than ever. -
12. Construction or Contructive
During the last few weeks of construction at Regina's Place, an local artist (Parker), who's looking for a store to showcase his art, startled upon Regina's Place. The conversation between the two was strictly business but the underlying connection between the two was a bit obvious. Agreeing to let Parker showcase his work, he offered his help around the store until she could acquired the help she needed. -
13. The Confession
Russell was on his way to do another one of his pop ups on the kids, but this time around he had a game plan. He decided to go early in the morning so that he and Regina could talk. To her surprise, Russell was cooking breakfast (something that he did in the good stages of their marriage) in her kitchen. Cutting right to the chase, Russell began confessing all of his wrong doings and his love for Regina. Pleading for a second chance at her love, it was too late. Regina had moved on. -
14. The Ugly Truth Part 3
Millicent, along with the help of her hair stylist (Ellen) and Russell, finally came to the realization that her precious daughter has grown and evolved into a beautiful, independent adult. That as the mother of her child, who had not been there for her daughter in her time of need, was the one person who she needed to most. -
15. The Grandopening
The grand opening of Regina's Place put everything in perspective. Regina reconciled with her mother and her friends, she and Russell were no longer at each other's necks, the kids had their dad back into the picture, Regina had a new source of income and Regina and Parker had begun a new relationship together. It was truly the picture perfect ending.
