    Liliuokalani served as regent during Kalakaua's absence until 1881.

  • Power loss

    Kalakaua singed a treaty with America in 1881 that took a majority of his power.

  • Things happen for a reason

    Kalakaua died, this caused Liliuokalani had been proclaimed as queen.

  • Attempt ot power

    The queen tried to proclaim a new constitution that would give her throne more power.

  • Return to Washington

    Liliokalani returned to Washington.

  • Annexation day

    Hawaii becomes an official state of America through annexation.

  • The queen is dead

    Liliokalani dies at the age of 79.
