Either / Or Policy
IB works with the United States to develop an either/or policy that allows IB world schools to offer a diploma that adheres only to IB requirements. Students would not be subject to state and national requirements when there is an overlap of content. For example, California requires a "Health and Wellness" course, but topics are covered through Biology and PHE courses.
