Hacking is progressive. Hacking was trained in an old historic way through education and shifted gears at some point in his philosophical career and decided to take everything he knew and test it from a holistic perspective, applying logic in addition to new concepts. Hacking is open minded. -
The Taming of Chance
Hacking used the example of Charles Sanders pierce and his embracing of tychism. Pierce took to Charles Darwin’s concepts, and ended an argument on the topic stating “You have to glimpse the almost innumerable ways in which his world had become constructed out of probabilities, just like ours” (Information Philosopher) -
