    Awards and Recognition

    Hacking received a total of three awards for his work starting with his 2002 Killam Prize due to his outstanding career achievements. He won the Holberg International Memorial Prize in 2009 due to his work regarding theory of probability and statistics and their influence on society. In 2012, he was awarded the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art and in 2014, the Balzan Prize.
