In Mad Travelers: Reflections on the Reality of Transient Mental Illness (1998), he explores the world of mental disorders.

    Among his many books is An Introduction to the Probability of Inductive Logic. This textbook was written as an educational aid in the subject of introductory probability and induction. It is used in multiple establishments including the University of Toronto.
  • Balzan Prize

    Hacking was honored with the 2014 Balzan Prize for Epistemology and Philosophy of Mind for his Balzan Prize research project, Styles of Reasoning. This research project gives others an opportunity to continue the study of the styles of reasoning within the scope of Hacking's wide range of research.
