  • Teaching Career

    In 1960 Ian Hacking began his teaching career and taught until 2011. Over that 51 year span, Hacking taught at extremely reputable universities such as, Princeton, University of Virginia, Cambridge, University of British Colombia and so much more. This proved impactful to the scientific community considering the fct that he educated the future minds of this field.
  • Logic of Statistical Intereference

    In 1965, Ian Hacking published a work called the Logic of Interference. Widely considered to be his first major publication, this publication focus's on Hacking's on ideas in regards to concept's and question's towards statistical
    reasoning. He covers the principle of statistic reasoning, roving beneficial to the scientific community.
  • An introduction to Probability and Inductive Logic

    In 2001 Hacking wrote the Emergence of probability. This widely known work covers the definitions of induction and probability. This writing considers topics such as decision theory, frequency ideas, the philosophical problem of induction and more. This writing was regarded highly in regards to its relevancy and practicality across fields of study.
  • Mad Travelers

    In 1998 Ian Hacking published Mad Travelers. This book served as a collection of historical events for a medical condition know as the fugue in the 1890's . Hacking tells the story of Albert Dadas, the first diagnosed "mad traveler" This medical condition picked up the nickname "Mad Travel" since people would walk for hundreds of miles in a trance and have recollection of who they are, where they are and how they got there.
