“The end of the ball” by Rogelio de Egusquiza is a visual representation of what the couple would look like dancing in the chapel. The painting itself was based off a photograph taken in black and white which he adapted. -

Female Lead, Katherin L.
Named after American Philospher and writer Susanne Katherina Langer Langer believed art, especially music is a highly articulated form of expression. Furthermore, she argues that artworks present forms of feeling for contemplation and that they express feelings. Keeping this in mind, Katherin L. one of the main characters in this short story is based off this philospher. -
Male Lead, Sean-Paul J.
Named after French Philospher and playwright Jean-Paul Sartre. He believed that humans are free to choose their own actions and life. His unique philosphy combined existentialism and Marxism. Additionally, he wholeheartedly believed in freedom of the will. Sean-Paul J. is based off this philospher's beliefs of freedom of will. -

Named after the Palais de la Cité, a historical building and complex in Paris, France that housed the French kings from the 6th to 14th centuries -
Bird in a cage
Visual representation by Frederick Carl. This painting has many layers regarding the story and love. Often times when you love something you are to set it free, like a bird in a cage. On the other hand, one might constrain or keep the bird in the cage out of love for it as well. -
In Another Life
The theme “in another life” resonates with many classical romance films and stories such as this one and Casablanca. In this film, the bittersweet romance shows two lovers who, in another life, might have ended up together, but wartime duty and sacrifice prevent them from doing so.
