    The scientist primarily responsible for this model was Democritus. This model was adopted around 460 bc. He once said "If you break a piece of matter in half, and then in half again, how many breaks will you have to make before you can break no further"? There was no experiment done for this.

This was founded because it answered the question on how radioactivity acted and if the rays curved or were straight. He used x-rays and they appeared to emonate from the area of a glass vacum tube made out of fluorescent, when struck by a beam of cathode rays.

    James used Marrie's and Pierrie's Compton Effect to discover the neutron. His model also answered the existence of the neutron.The Compton Effect was used to prove this model.

    This model discovered the neutron but Marrie and Perrie Curie didn't have enough evidence to convince others and the fact that they didn't know what they discovered was the neutron.
    They used the compton effect to prove the model.
