How we came to be

  • Donald Trump is elected

  • Civil War 2 begins

    Tension built between opposition in the West and Trump supporters in the East, leading to the nation's second civil war.
  • Bomb takes out entire Midwest

    Many citizens residing in the Midwest had split opinions about President Trump, resulting in attacks from both sides. The East radicals made a bomb intended to destroy a majority of the United States but was mainly limited to that region.
  • Civil War 2 end- states begin seceding

    First states to seceded were Colorado, Washington, and Arizona.
  • Ruderalis is formed

    Ruderalis is the name of the nation formed by the seceded states
  • Leaders of the seceded states restarted representative democracy

    State officials from each seceded territory voted among themselves to decided government official positions for the newly formed Ruderalis.
  • Corruption of government led to citizen uprisings

    The self elected officials began to grant themselves too much power and ignored the needs of the citizens. Many people felt Ruderalis was no better than the US and began to riot, demanding their voice be heard.
  • Gabriella Garcia leads the citizens to demand a direct democracy

    A leader from Arizona stepped forward and began speaking to the citizens about demanding a direct democracy. This would be obtained by overthrowing the current government and starting over.
  • Internet voting system set up for everyone

    Gabriella Garcia worked with professionals throughout Ruderalis to have a computer program uploaded to everyone's computer for the sole purpose of voting on laws and for government officials. Gabriella Garcia was elected president of Ruderalis.
  • Government officials elected for foreign affairs and mediation

    It was decided that government officials were necessary in regards to foreign affairs. They would also serve the purpose of hearing citizen's propositions and sharing them with the public for voting and then sharing those results with the president who will sign them into law if they do not violate the constitution of Ruderalis.
