The opium war started on January 1st, 1839 to December 31st, 1839. It is 172 years ago from 2011. -
Convention of Chuenpee
Preliminary cession of Hong Kong Island to the United Kingdom. It is the first attemps to bring the First Opium war between the Qing Dynasty and the United Kingdom to an end. -

Kai Tak Airport opend in 1954 and it closed down on 6 July, 1998. -
Hong Kong International Airport Opened
Hong Kong International Airport was opened the following day after the closer of the Kai Tak Airport. This Airport is 9 times bigger than Kai Tak. -

SARS stand for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. -

The ICC started building on 1997 and it completed on 2003. It has 88 floors and it is 415 metres. -
Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland opened on 12th September, 2005. It is also the smallest Disneyland in the world. But, it's tll reallly fun! -
International Commerce Centre (ICC)
The ICC is the tallest building in Hong Kong and it is the 4th tallest building in the world. It has 108 floors and it is 484 metres tall. The ICC is on top of Kowloon Station.
