The Model 202 was the first telephone created in the 1930's. The Model 202 was an oval-shaped phone that was connected to a dial block. The Model 202 was mostly used by companies and was mainly a desktop phone. -

The Model 500 was a rotary phone and the first phone invented in the 1940's. Also this phone was known as the best phone of its time. It has a square base unlike the Model 202 of the 30's -
The 1950's
Home Phones in the 50's are bright and colorful. By the 1950's, roughly two-thirds of American households had at least one telephone, with the percentage growing every year. The core technology was already highly advanced, similar to landline technology in the 21st century, but none of the technologies like voicemail and text messaging existed yet. -

Doug Talley and Duane Gregory made the first cordless phone. The cordless phone works like a two-way radio. Many homes still use it today. -

Motorola made the first mobile phone. The first mobile phone less than 100 pixels on its screen. The first phone call was made April 3, 1973. -

GTE made the Airfone. It was an air to ground telephone service. It was in airplanes. -

The number of cellular telephone subscribers in the United States grows to 100 million, from 25,000 in 1984. By this time cellphones are in high popularity since they can do much more. -
Now Of Days
now of days there is not a whole lot of home phones. they have been mostly erased by the high demand of Apple products and Samsung cell phones. Although most of the time when i go into old peoples homes they have home phones still because they prefer Home phones from their time. -
The Take Over
home phones are out and cellphones are in. Cell phones have now taken over what home phones used to. They call, text and can record, all of which home phones cannot do.
