Joseph and his family war told to pack everything they could carry and they were transported to an old factory building in Targu Muresh, Romania. -
Moving
On Joseph's 17th birthday, the whole family were transported along with hundreds of other people by cattle car to the camp Auschwitz. They were seperated by men and women and that was the last time Meir and Joseph would see their mom and sister. -
Work
Meir and Joseph were sent off to work at camp Dachau. After a couple of days they were both transfered to another camp called Allach. Here, they both work in a cement factory, railroad work and woodworking. After they were done with work for the day they were sprayed with "bug posion."

Liberated

The camp Allach was liberated by the allies. Meir was rushed to an infermery for six months of treatment. -
Reunited

Joseph regained the courage and strength to go looking for Meir. He looked in every hospital and treatment center. While he was looking at one treatment center Meir raised his weak hand and called out Joseph's name.
