Concentration Camps
Bruno and his family move from Berlin to Poland. They move there to run the Out With Concentration Camp. This happened in the real world during WW2, lots of Jewish people got sent there. -
Jews Get Sent To Concentration Camp
In the book Bruno discovers Shmuel, a Jew that is his age, he got sent to the Out With Concentration Camp and they became friends. Shmuel tells Bruno about all the people in the concentration camp, there are thousands. During WW2 thousands of Jews got sent to concentration camps and were put through torture. -
Jews Go Missing
In the book Shmuel's dad goes missing and Bruno tries to help find him. During WW2 this happened a lot and most of the time, their families wouldn't know that their family was taken. -
Jews Relocation
When Bruno sneaks onto Shmuel's side of the fence so they can find Shmuel's dad, a random relocation event occurs taking Shmuel and Bruno away from their families forever, along with lots of other Jewish people. This occurred a lot during the holocaust, trains would appear and they would load them with everyone they were relocating. There was nothing they could do about it except prey that they wouldn't be there when the relocation happened. The event separated families all over the Europe.
