Killed 241 U.S. marines, 58 French paratroopers and 6 civilians at the US and French barracks in Beirut. -

They currently have 12 members in Lebanese Parliament and 2 members inthe Cabinet. -
Isreal leaves South Lebanon
Following his campaign promise, newly elected Prime Minister Ehud Barak withdrew Israeli forces from Southern Lebanon within the year. -
Rafiq al-Hariri killed
Was killed by a car bomb in Beirut, supposedly laid by Hizballah. -
2006 Lebanon War
The conflict is believed to have killed at least 1,191–1,300 Lebanese people, and 165 Israelis. It made about one million Lebanese and 300,000–500,000 Israelis lose their homes. -
Bus bombing
The bus was carrying forty-two Israelis, mainly youths, from the airport to their hotels, after arriving on a flight from Tel Aviv. The explosion killed five Israelis as well as the Bulgarian bus driver and injured thirty-two Israelis. -
Imad Mughnniyah killed
In February 2008, Hizballah’s military chief ‘Imad Mughniyah was killed by a vehicle bomb in Damascus.
