    The Treaty of Paris ended the Seven Years’ War between France, Britain and Spain. This ended a time of European conflict in North America, and started the process of what would become Canada.

    The Charlottetown conference was organized by delegates from PEI, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia to bring about a union of the three. The future hope of this was that it would work towards the union of all the British North American colonies.
