    Eadweard Muybridge bets $25,000 that a horse at full speed, all of its legs will come off the ground and no one believed him. So they set up cameras and captured the moment all the egs came off the ground. He ended up winning the bet.

    In the 1920s Thomas Edison started creating films that were 30 to 60 seconds long and attracted many people. One of them was of a train heading towards the people and at the time they didnt know of such films so they broke their legs trying to escape the train heading towards them. There was at least 26 million people going to watch these films every week.

    Charlie Chaplin discovered Jakie Coogan. This was perfect since Jackie became the star in the movie "The Kid". He later became known as the Uncle Fester on the 1960s sitcom.
