    He found the US in the year 1492 but didn't step onto the land the first time.

    In 1607, 104 English settlers came upon America and made a settlement named "Jamestown".

    In 1753 through 1764 the British nd New French fought out on the lanbd of America.
  • The Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party was a protest held by The Sons of Liberty because of the taxes on tea.
  • The Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Was the first fight that started of the Revolutionary war.
  • The Declaration of Independence

    It contained our laws and rights and was held at the Second Continental Congress
  • The Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown was a battle that was lead by General George Washington an was a victory for the Continental Army.
  • The Constitutional Convention

    It was the meeting where the congress talked about the weak government.
  • The invention of the cotton gin

    This invention made things a lot easier for seperating cotton fibers from their seeds in comparison to manual picking.

    This allowed foreigners to be deported and made it harder for immigrants to vote.

    It was the acquisition of Louisiana by the US from the French.

    It was a battle between the US and the British with allies.

    It was the legislation that would make the United States of Maine as a free state. As well as Missouri being a slave state

    It was the 11th quadrennial presidential election.

    The Trail of Tears was when the Native Americans were forced to relocate to territory that was assigned to them from the Americans.

    A major financial issue that caused major unemployment and wages dropping.

    The telegraph was created by Samuel Morse and it was used as communication instead of using mail all the time which meant that messages could be sent back and forth in a shorter period of time.

    The Mexican-American War was a conflict caused because of the want of expansion but ended in a armed war between the United states and Mexican states.
  • The Compromise of 1850

    Fugitive Slave Act was amended and the slave trade in Washington, D.C., was abolished. California also joined as a free state and slave trade was ended.

    This was the day that a shell was fired of the fort by Confederate forces.
  • Emancipation Proclamation

    It was an act that was signed by President Abraham Lincoln which declared that the slaves be freed but rebeling states didn't act on it.
  • Surrender at Appomattox Courthouse

    This was a series of battles from the civil war including the surrender of General E. Lee.
  • 13th, 14th, 15th Amendments

    In 1865, 1868, and 1870 the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments were made to give equal rights to slaves that were emancipated.
  • Abraham Lincoln’s Assassination

    This tragic day was when Abraham Lincoln was killed while at a play by the John Wilkes Booth who was a stage actor.
  • Andrew Johnson’s Impeachment

    This was the impeachment of Presidnent Johnson for high crimes and misdemeanors.

    It was the largest oil refinery firm for the time and was made into a larger one because of the founder John D. Rockefeller.
  • The invention of the electric light, telephone, and airplane

    The light bulb was created in 1879 by Thomas Edison, well the first commercial one. The telephone being made in 1876 was created by Alexander Graham Bell. Wilbur and Orville Wright created the airplane respecfully in 1903. All of these are used largely today.
