No one in government wanted to start war, the government were willing to compromise with Hitler. Czechoslovakian leaders were not included in the talks, Hitler kept his plan out of the question while trying to get control for government.     Operation Gomorrah destroyed a significant percentage of the city of Hamburg, leaving over 1 million residents homeless and killing 40,000-50,000 civilians. In the immediate wake of the raids, over two-thirds of Hamburg's population left the city. The attacks shook the Nazi leadership, leading Hitler to be concerned that similar attacks on other cities could force Germany out of the war. I chose this picture because it shows the destruction the Germans left towards the Nazis.

The had goals they wanted to reach. I chose this picture because it shows what a mess it left them for people and their rights.

After fighting against the Germans, people finally reached victory and the holocaust ending. The war with Japan was still going on at this time. I chose this picture because it shows the excitement people had towards VE Day and how happy and safe they finally felt again.

The Germans had built six sites containing gas chambers and large crematoria, with the genocidal purpose of annihilating Europe's Jewish population in what they called the 'Final Solution to the Jewish Question'. They estimated six million murdered, Jews in the Holocaust, there was over three million perished in these six camps. I chose this picture because the Jews had nothing to call theirs but the pain that they got.
