John Brown is born in Connecticut. His family then moves to Ohio where he will spend his boy hood. -
1833
Brown marries his second wife and has 13 children. When he was with his first wife she had 5 children and died in childbirth with the 6th. Brown and some of his sons will be the ones to take over Harpers Ferry. -
1837
John Brown vows to end slavery after anti-slavery newspaperman was killed. While bleeding Kansas begins, Brown is still living in Ohio and he hears of this and decides to move to Kansas. -
1842
Almost goes bankrupt at 42 years old, had 20 lawsuits against him. This stops Brown from leaving Ohio and keeps him from stopping slavery. -
1855
Moves to Kansas with his sons as Free-Soilers. While he is here, Brown will do something that will gain him immence fame in the North but hatered in the Suth -
1856
Brown and several others execute 5 proslavery men with broadswords. According to eye-witness accounts, Brown's sons and the other men hacked up the bodies of the pro-slavery people after Brown himself shoots them. -
1858
John Brown enlists a small army of 20 men and begins to plan a large salve revolt. While he plans his men attempt to get the word out to the slaves but fail and wreck the plan from the start. -
1859
John Brown and 20 other men storm the U.S. armoury in Harpers Ferry, Virgina. They take it over and wait for the slaves to come and get their weapons, but none show up. -
1859
Colonel Robert E Lee and a force of U.S. Marines take back the armoury killing 10 including 2 of John Brown's sons, wounded and captured Brown himself -
1859
John Brown was executed for his crimes, the North mourns the death of a hero and the South celebrates the death of a terrorist. While on the gallows, John Browns final words hint at a bloody Civil War to start. A few years later the American Civil War starts.
