Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act was signed by Andrew Jackson in 1830, Jackson signed the Act because the Five Tribes weren't moving voluntarily. The one goal they had, Assimilation was no longer the goal for them, so Jackson signed the Act for that reason. -
Trail of Tears
The Trail of Tears was the five Tribes that were forced to move to Indian Territory now Oklahoma, the settlers who were with them mistreated them and 13% of them died due to sickness on the way there.
