    It was the first home console invented. It only ran 28 video games at the time. It quickly died out but they were an inspiration for Atari.
  • Pong

    One of the first widely successfully selling video games. It caused controversy because of copyright infringement claims from Magnavox. Atari was sued for $100 million.
  • Atari 2600

    It was a console that had joysticks, color, and interchangeable cartridges. It was a game changer. It paved the way for future consoles.
  • M.U.L.E.

    M.U.L.E.
    One of the first successful multiplayer video games. The setting is on the planet Irata. Players have to gather resources and save their colony.
  • Atari Lynx

    Atari Lynx
    It was the first handheld console to come to the market. It had color with an LCD display. It also had advanced graphics for the time.

    It was the first console to include 3D gameplay. It was a 32-bit console that ran CDs. They used those instead of cartridges.
  • Sega Dreamcast

    It was one of the first consoles to try online game play. It didn't sell because of bad marketing. They removed it from markets in 2001
  • Play Station 2

    It became the best selling console in history at $159 million. It is the successor to the original play station. Its competition at the time was the Nintendo Gamecube.
