    The Emperor of Japan appoints Ieyasu as the new Shogun.

    Toyotomi Hideyoshi tries to attack Korea but is stopped by China.

    Toyotomi Hideyoshi reunifies Japan.

    1582, TOYOTOMI HIDEYOSHI

    Oda Nobunaga is killed by his rivals and loyal General, Toyotomi Hideyoshi then takes over his predecessor's role.

    1573, MUROMACHI OVERTHROWN

    The Daimyo Oda Nobunaga overthrows the Muromachi and in doing so extends his control over Japan.
