The Apple II was different than the Apple I because the OS was in the ROM. -
TRS 80
Radio Shack introduced this personal computer right after Apple did. Apple opened up the market for competition from various companies. -
The Osborne
The Osborne was introduced in 1981 and weighed 24.5 pounds. It is considered the first portable computer. -
IBM PC
The IBM PC was introduced in 1981 and won Machine fo the Year in 1982. It was immensely popular in the market. -
Apple Lisa
It was the first successful personal computer that used GUI, however it was very expensive. It had a purchase price of nearly 10,000 dollars. -
Apple Macintosh
The Apple Macintosh was 1/3 of the price of the Apple Lisa. It included a 3 and a half inch floppy disk.
