    The second game in the series was departured from the concept of the first game. Exchanging the top down perspective for side-scrolling, it then introduced RPG elements, which were not found in other Zelda installments.

    After a haitus, the series made a transition into 3D with Ocarina of time, or know as Zelda 64 after the console it is played on. With new additions like lock-on targeting, the player can lock onto a target in a 3D space. It was given 40/40 score in Famitsu, a prestigous Japanese gaming magazine.
    The game was remade in 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS, with improved graphics and a few added features.

    Majora's Mask
    Majora's Mask, aslo known as Zelda Gaiden, is the follow-up title to Ocarina of Time. New innovations include a time limit and the usage of mask to transform Link into various creature with unique skills. Unlike the games before, Majora's Mask has a dark atmosphere and a sense of impending doom.
    The game was later remade in 2015 as Majora's Mask 3D, with improved graphics and controls, effects and a minigame.
  • Oracle of Ages & Oracle of Seasons

    Both games were released simultaneously for the Game Boy Color and interact using passwords or a Game Link cable. These games were made in collaboration with Nintendo and Capcom.
    There was going to be a third game along with the two, but the idea was dropped when connecting three games became troublesome. The dropped game was going to be called The Legend of Zelda: Mystical Seed of Courage,
