First Photograph taken
Joseph Neipce made the first photographic Image. He used the first version of the camera called the Camera Obscura. It was originally used for drawing purposes but Neipce inventively changed it. He added Heliographs to help draw light to the picture.

The Daguerreotype
After 10 years of Neipce's original product, his colleague Louis Daguerre improved upon it. After Neipce's death, Daguerre invented the Daguerretype. His type fixed images onto a sheet of silver paper. There it was polished in iodine, creating a surface that was sensitive to light.

Calotype
A couple years later and new type of Photograph taking process was introduced.Henry Talbot invented the Calotype and was a contemporary of Daguerre. He sensitized paper to lights using a silver and salt solution. It became a negative image reversing lighting creating a more detailed photograph.

Tintypes
This was a revolutionary way take photographs by changing the image from negative to positive. It was patented and made. by Hamilton Smith. He used a thin sheet of Iron to provide a base for light-sensitive material. This yielded a positive image.

First Color Photograph
Rudolph Fischer was a German inventor who made some of the first color photographs using a method he patented. He used a subtractive coloring process with couplers. He made three film layers sensitive to red, clue, and and green light. Although they produced color there were still many inaccuracies in the product.
