Dalton
He made his discovery in 1803. He developed the 1st useful atomic theory of matter. He performed a series of experiments on mixtures of gasses to determine what effect properties of the individual gases had on the properties of the mix as a whole. The atom looked like a billiard ball. -
Thomson
He discovered the electrons. He did this by expirementing on cathode rays. It was called The Plum Pudding Model. -
Rutherford
Made dicovery in 1911. He discoved the nucleus in an atom. The method he made to dicover this is by completeting the gold foil experiment. -
Bohr
He discovered that the electrons moved differently. He changed the orbit of the electons. The method he used was the Quantum theory. Proposed a theory for the hydrogen atom based on the Quantum theory. -
Heisenberg and Schrodinger
He discovered the energy levels of an atom. It changed the atom by adding energy levels. The method he used is by combining equations for the behavior of waves.
