Twitter and Facebook
Twitter gained a lot of ground and soon developed a very devoted following as well as a number of famous celebrities and athletes. In the fall, over 1 million users signed up every week. Facebook, today is the 6th most visited site in the US. -
Instagram
Instagram is launched and then later bought by Facebook. After instagram is bought by Facebook it blows up, and is now one of the most popular video and photo sharing site. -
Google+
Google+ became a full-featured social networking tool where people can create video chat rooms for their groups. -
Pheed
A mobile pay-per-view technology and social networking service that competed with Facebook and Twitter.
