Soccer is believed to have first started out more 2500 B.C and most credit is given to Ancient China that played a game originally called "Tsu Chu" no hands were allowed and involved kicking a leather ball stuffed with fur into a small hole. Development of the Soccer ball
The first rubber soccer ball was made by Charles Goodyear in 1855. 1862 H.J. Lindon developed one of the first inflatable rubber bladders for balls. The balls with the rubber bladders ensured that the ball remained hard and oval. -
The First and Oldest
Football's oldest club is Sheffield FC, founded on October 24th 1857.The influence of this club in the creation of the modern game cannot be understated. Rules and Split ups
October 26 of 1863 the Football Association was formed when 11 London schools and clubs came together at the Freemason's Tavern to make a single set of rules to administer any football match that were to be played. On December 8 1863 Association Football and Rugby Football split into 2 different organizations. The first ever soccer match was played on Barnes common at Mortlake, London 19th December 1863 between Barnes Football Club and Richmond Football Club. The game ended 0-0 draw. -
International Match
The 1st international game was on Nov 30,1872 between Scotland and England, which is therefore the oldest international fixture in world football. Played in Glasgow Scotland, finished with a 0-0 draw. -
Disaster Strikes Scotland v. England
The Ibrox Disaster, 5th April 1902, Scotland hosting England with title at stake. The West Tribune Stand was a squeeze that Robert Sheils says supporters had space of 16 in by 14 in. Half hour into the game April afternoon Joints underneath the stands gave way and the wooden boarding fell through, horrifically 100's of fans fell 40ft the ground below. The Scotsman claimed 18 people died with 200 others injured. However, these numbers were later total at 25 deaths and 500+ injuries of severity. -

The 1st World cup July 13,1930 hosted by Uruguay. May 28,1928 FIFA Congress in Amsterdam decided to create a world championship. Thirteen teams were invited, seven from South America, four from Europe and two from North America. The first player to score was Lucien Laurent from France against Mexico (Mejico) Uruguay was the host and winner of the first world cup.The first world cup name was Jules Rimet Trophy.
