  • Alexander 3rd succeeds his father and takes power. (1881)

    -He used harsh measures to get rid of revolutionaries. He dident use his owner in a good way but instead used it to get rid of these people that he dident like.
  • Trans Serbian railroad (1891-1916)

    -It connected European Rusia to ports on the westside of Russia on the Pacific. This aloud for a much easier way to travel acros the country.
  • Bloody Sunday (January 22, 1905)

    200,00 workers and their families went to the Cazars house with a petition for better working conditions. Nicholas 2nd ordered soldiers to fire on the crowd and 1,000 people were injured and several hundred were Killed. This lead to more protests from workers like the March revolution.
  • The Czar steps down and Lenin returns to Russia. (April 1917)

    Germany arranged for Lenin to go back to russia because they thought that he and his followers could help sway there war efforts. So Lenin was sent back to Russia in hopes that high him starting a rebellion it would help the Germans.
  • Lenin and the Bolsheviks stormed the winter palace in Petrograd. (November 1917)

    The Bolsheviks took over the palace in Petrograd to take control of the government in that city. This was the beginning of their revolution lead by Lenin. Lenin’s goal to to slowly take over the entire government of Russia.
  • Civil war stirs in Russia (1918-1920)

    Due to the Bolsheviks taking over their government this lead to the White Army that was created. This army and the Bolsheviks (Red Guards) Fought in a civil far for 2 years.
  • Lenin Restores the Economy (March 1922)

    After all of the fighting in the civil war it left Russia’s economy destroyed. Lenin worked on fixing there economy and took it as his job to do so.
  • The USSR was created (1922)

    The country was named the USSR (The union of soviet socialist republics) in honor of the creators of the Bolshevik revolution. The Bolsheviks renamed their party the communist party after words.
  • Lenin dies and Stalin. Takes over as a dictator (1922)

    Lenin suffered from a stroke and ended up defying. This lead to Stalin taking over the country with his dictatorship. Stalin did not do mutch good but killed millions of people.
