  • First Major Honour

    In the year 1905, Madrid FC won its first Major Honor, the Spanish Cup after defeating Athletic Bilbao in the final.
  • A First Move

    Due to the fanbase increasing, Madrid FC needed to move to another ground to gain more revenue, and allow more visitors to visit. They moved to Campo de O'Donnell located in Madrid.   • First League Title Secured

    In the 1931-1932 season, Real Madrid won its first Spanish League title. It took Real Madrid 3 seasons after just missing out just barely during the Inaugural League title of 1929. Real Madrid also won the season following, making Madrid the first team to retain the Spanish League title.

    In 1955, President Santiago Bernabeu acted upon the idea of participating in a tournament for champion teams around the world. This tournament is now known as the Champions League present day.   • Success Continues in the 1980's

    Real Madrid had lost the grasp on the title domestically, but with the help of homegrown players, Real Madrid once again started to dominate Spain. Real Madrid won 5 consecutive league titles in the second half of the 1980s, as well as 2 UEFA Cups, a Spanish Cup, and three Spanish Super Cups. Success once again had come to Real Madrid.
  • Long Wait for European Cup Ends

    After 32 years, Real Madrid had finally won the European Cup, otherwise known as the Champions League for the seventh time in 1998. Then 2 years later, Real Madrid won the cup for the 8th time in 2000, signaling the start of a new era.
  • Los Galacticos

    In the Year 2000, Florentino Perez was elected president of the club. He vowed to eliminate a massive debt and also to modernize the facilities of the club. He also had recruited Luis Figo, a player who at the time was playing for Barcelona, Real Madrid's fierce rivals. Perez initiated an era known as the Galacticos, recruiting players like Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, and many others. This era brought more success bringing in the 9th Champions League in 2002 and another league title in 2003.
  • Second Galactico Era

    In 2009, Florentino Perez regained the presidency. He continued his Galactico policy of recruiting world-class players with the likes of Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema among others. In 2010 Mourinho was brought in as manager. This Galactico era brought another Copa del Rey in 2011 and also the league title in 2012 where Madrid broke numerous records, one of them breaking 100 points in a season. However, after that, the wait for a trophy went on.
  • La Decima

    In 2013 Carlo Ancelotti took over as manager and won the Copa del Rey after extra time. In 2014, the same season, Carlo Ancelotti brought home another Champions League trophy, making that the 10th time Madrid won the competition. It took 8 years for Madrid to take home the trophy, but it was worth the wait. This triumph made Madrid the only team to reach 10 Champions League titles. However, although Ancelotti won La Decima, he was sacked after a trophyless 2014-2015 season.
  • European Dominance

    The 2015-2016 season was the start of something special in Real Madrid. After poor results, Zidane took over as manager as the former manager was sacked. Despite only taking over halfway through the season, Madrid won The Champions League in 2016. The next season, they brought home the 33 League title, as well as a consecutive Champions League. In 2018, Madrid became the first team in the Champions League era to win the trophy three times in a row.
  • Present Day

    As of today, Madrid has won 34 League Titles, after claiming the trophy last season. They also have 13 Champions League Titles, the most in history, and as well as 19 Copa del Rey trophies.
