Marconi was an Italian inventor. in 1895 he sent out the first radio signal. He was also the first to recieve a radio signal. -
Audion Tube
In 1906 Lee De Forest created(borrowed) the audion tube.It is a vacuum tube that amplifed signals. It was believed Canadian actor, Reginald Fessenden came up with the idea. -
Radio station
the first radio station was made in 1920. It was called 8xk, later named KDKA. Frank conrad made it and its still broadcasting out of pittsburg, pennsylvania. -

Uncle charlie was too popluar so he established FRC in 1927.it organize th licensing of transmitter.Assignng radio station frequencies, call letters, and power limits. -
first fm radio
This is the first radio that was created with an FM radio. It was created by Edward Armstrong. This radio was used so that you could change the stations between AM or FM in a quick second. The FM normally had the music playing & the AM normally played your favorite shows, plays, etc. -
the music radio
From radio's before, they were always used for listening to your favorite shows. But this one, it's often associated with rock-and-roll radio from the 1970s. This radio is also made more portable than the previous ones. -
radios today
Satellite radio knocked the previous year radios's off the charts. In the 2000s the XM Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio began. XM radio has over 170 crystal clear, digital channels, covering a wide range of entertainment from music to sports, news and talk shows. All channels are commercial free. The line-up also includes sports, entertainment, and original programming.
