    Joseph Nicephore Niepce Developed the first photographic image with a camera obscura by placing a engraving onto a metal plate that was coated in bitumen before being exposed to light . It required 8 hours of light exposure and the pictures would fade quickly.
  • Louis Daguerre- Daguerreotype.

    After several years of experimentations, Louis daguerre developed a more convenient and effective method of taking photographs.

    William Henry Fox Talbot was the one to establish the basic Negative/positive process.
  • Wet plate

    The collodion process was invented by Frederick Scott Archer. The process made it so that images only required a few seconds of light exposure, and the pictures were more stable and detailed as they used a glass plate instead of paper.
