Louis Daguerre invented the Daguerreotype

It is a firm process; it creates an image with lots of detail on a sheet of copper plated with a thin coat of silver. The Collodion process was invented
The Collodion process is an early photographic process - it worked better than the dageurreotype and increased exposure time. It was invented by Englishman Frederick Scott Archer. In its process, a soluble iodide was added to a collodion solution and coating a glass plate with this mixture. A portable dark room was needed for this process, as the exposure to light would not develop the image properly. This took the span of fifteen minutes. -
