Invention of the telephone

1875

Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone in the year 1875. It had a speaking tube and numbers. The sound waves couldn't travel but so far.

First Automatic Dialing System

1891

The first automatic dialing system was made by a Kansas City undertaker. It had a dial with numbers that could travel a longer distance then the first phone.

First coin operated phone booth

1900

First coin operated phone booth added in Hartford, Connecticut. You had to pay 25 cents to make a call.

Electronic telephone researched

1936

People started researching into the electronic telephone switching system. It was eventually perfected.

Brick phones invented

1973

The brick phone was invented in 1973 they had a wire you pulled up to get a signal and make a call. You had to install it on your wall.

The flip phone was invented

1996

The flip phone was a new success that took electronics and introduced texting. And it also has a telephone where you can make calls.

Iphone was invented

2007

I phone was invented it was the first phone the you could do other stuff rather than text and call. You can see the screen everyone was amazed.

I phone takes off

2021

Now I phone is coming up with new phones the newest is the I phone 12 it has three cameras and bigger in size.
