    The 1982 the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that all undocumented children in the United States have the right to receive a free public K–12 education. Due to so many undocumented youth, it is reported that their are over 4.1 million undocumented citizens in present day in the U.S.

    Congress required states to develop assessments of students in basic skills. In order for schools to receive any government funding, they are required to do this. Each state is able to develop their own standards.

    The objective of this act was to create new jobs and save current ones as a result of the Great Recession and house market crash. The investment included a revised infrastructure of education.

    California became the first state to use LGBTQ in school history textbooks. This will teach students that it is safe and celebrated to be who they are.
