A law that require special education placement test to be given in the student primary language if needed. This helped students of all cultures to get tested on their knowldege not their ability to read in english. -
Equal Education Opportunities Act
Stopped discrimination in schools and required all schools to give equal protection to all students no matter their culture or race. This was a leap forward for multicultural education to advancement by giving protection for all students especially for non English speaking students. -
National Association of Bilingual Education
An American advocacy group that trains teachers to be able to help students learn English as a second language. This benefits multicultural education because it helps them learn the dominant language in the United States.
