X-rays were first discovered in 1895
X-rays were first discovered in 1895 when, during experiments with electric currents passed through a vacuum tube, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen noted that a nearby fluorescent screen glowed when the current was being passed. When the current was switched off the screen stopped glowing. He attributed this effect to previously unknown rays which, X being the symbol for an unknown quantity, he called X-rays. -
The Endoscopy was invented
Ferdorico Portogalis in 1937 it was made and in 1978 it was pleaded safe for humans -
The first chemotherapy drugs to be used on patients were based on a poisonous gas called nitrogen mustard.
In 1946 two scientists called Gilman and Philips published a article on the chemical compounds related to this gas. Further work showed that these drugs could cause lymphomas to shrink, but the drugs also caused toxic side effects to the digestive system and the blood and bone marrow. These drugs became the first to be used by doctors to treat cancer. In 1947 another research doctor called Farber published data on another group of chemotherapy drugs called antifolates. It was known from researc -

Computed Tomography (CT) imaging is also known as "CAT scanning is invented
CT was invented in 1972 by British engineer Godfrey Hounsfield of EMI Laboratories, England and by South Africa-born physicist Allan Cormack of Tufts University, Massachusetts. Hounsfield and Cormack were later awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their contributions to medicine and science. -

The concept of 'intensity training' infiltrated through the athletic world in the eighties and in 1983 the first wireless heart monitor was introduced. -
The first MRI exam was performed on a human being
Dr. Raymond Damadian, a physician and scientist, toiled for years trying to produce a machine that could noninvasively scan the body with the use of magnets. Along with some graduate students, he constructed a superconducting magnet and fashioned a coil of antenna wires. Since no one wanted to be the first one in this contraption, Damadian volunteered to be the first patient.
When he climbed in, however, nothing happened. Damadian was looking at years wasted on a failed invention.
