WWII: Nazi Germany bombs against Britain for eight months. The raids kill 43,000 civilians. -
Terrorist attack
July 2005: four bombs explode on London’s transport systems. The city is thrown into mass panic and confusion as all four suicide bombers are of British origin. London gets into the high terrorist alert status it still holds today.
