A law passed in 1947 to assess the unfair labor practices committed by Unions. -
Steel Strike of 1959
Negotiators refuse to grant a major wage increase unless the acting president, McDonald, agreed to alter or eliminate a section off of the Unions master contract. With workers not being happy with potential hour cuts, they formed a strike in protest. -
Pullman Strike
A nationwide strike held to pin the American Railway Union against the Pullman company, the government, and major railroad ways. -
The Wagnar Act
A law passed to establish the National Labor Relations Board and adressed relations between Unions and employers.
