Charter of 1732
The Charter of 1732 was a document signed by the king stated that debtors could go to Georgia.The two things that was not allowed in Goergia was slavery and rum. The three groups that were banned was:African-americans, Catholics, and lawyers. They were a group of Trustees put in charge of Georgia. Some restrictions the Trustees had was can't own land, can't get payed, and couldn't hold any political office. The three purposes for creating the Charter: buffer, produce wine,and silk. -

Founding of Savannah
The first city founded in Georgia was Savannah. The founder of Savannah was a man named James Oglethorpe. The ship that they sailed was caleed the Anne. The indain chief that gave the trustees permission to land was Tomochichi. James Oglethorpe and Tomochichi comunicated with a translater. Her name was Mary Musgrove. -
Ebenezer
The trustees and Salzburgers founded the city. The moved because, they got kicked out. They were kicked out because they wasn't Catholic. They wanted to be protestant so they went to Georgia. -
Darien
The Scottish Highlanders founded Darien. The Trustees recruited the Highland Scouts for defense. To protect Georgia just incase of an attack. And that's just what they did in the battle of the Bloody Marsh. -
Battle of the Bloody Marsh
General James Oglethorpe led the Georgia colonist in the Battle of the Bloody Marsh. The Geprgia colonist fought the Spanish in Battle of the Bloody Marsh. The Georgia colonist won the battle. The Highland Scots helped them win the battle. It was so importsnt because they defened or ws a buffer. Also they put fear in the Spainish. -
Royal Colony
The Malcontents complained about the trustees. They complained about the trustees didn't allow rum, slavery,and restrictions on land inheritence. The king was in charge of the royal colony. The three royal governors were James Wright,Henry Ellis,and John Reynolds.
