Kinetoscope Parlor

This parlor is for people to can and watch a flip book then leave. Thomas Edison invented the Kinetoscope but Edison also made a projector. He figured if he made many Kinetoscopes it would be more money for him instead of a single projector.

Cinématographe

The Lumiére Brothers official built the first projector and called it a Cinématographe. It allow people to go and watch a movie as a family at one time for about 30 sec. This was the first theater.

First Movies with Sound

With the longer films people wanted sounds with them. So they had orchestras preform with the movies to make them more entertaining. So its how they added sound to films at first.

Vitascope

Thomas Edison after the whole Kinetoscope thing later released a better project called the Vitascope. It was better then the French brothers because of it quality of the images. It was allow bright and bigger so it allowed more people to go and watch the show.

Black and White

Black in White was the only available colors for movie. Its what everything was in from cartoons to comedies. It the first filter that we were able to see because of not knowing how to add color.

Cartoons

Cartoon where made to entrain even when they were in black in white. Also cartoons at the time did not have voices so they used crash symbols to give them more effect. With the added sounds it gave the audience a comedy effect and gave kids laughter.

Credits

Credits where added in films to give actors and actresses credit for there performances. These made the first celebrities and made people strive to be in movies. This also just gave the actor a sense of accomplishments.

The Bell and Howell

This camera started to produce the best quality to this point with the size it was. It also made it possible to produce movies faster. It was the best quality camera for a few decades.

Sound Films

Now with new technology they were able to create movie that had sound with them in it. So they could record the sound and play it with the movie. So there was no need for orchestra in movie theaters anymore.

Blockbusters

After enough movies the movie producers came up with the title Blockbuster. This was the first award for movies.This showed people the good movies compared to decent movies.

Color Pictures

Color Pictures changed film forever it gave a sense of pop to the screen when you see color. I helped the eyes when people watched the movies. And made them feel like they were in the movie.

Now in present day movies have changed in so many ways. From sound effects to how an actor acts. They have become more entraining to the audience. Then we have the big one 3D so movies have changed a lot in a centuries.
