The Lumiere brothers in france devised a projector that could show motion pictures on a screen for an audience .They Debuted a motion picture they had shot with their revolutionary invention. they called their invention the cinematographe . -
Short Films
Short films were produced in 1895 , These were really short and about 30 to 60 seconds . They started being shown in a paris cafe and were charged one franc to be viewed. -
Thomas Edision
Edison ( who invented the lightbulb ) devised the kinetoscope and made money off these devices . He Hoped it would boost sales of his record player but was unable to match sound with pictures .Most burned because of Films acid base . -

By 1910 , Nickelodeon theaters were attracting 26 million viewers a week . 5 years later it doubled and became more popular as they attracted those looking to create a big market. A monopoly was created to try and control everything tried to create a monopoly and control everything. -

Films were primarily shot on the east coast of the US where it originated ,It Changed For Various Reasons . Films were shot outside and alot of light was needed to accomodate the slow speed of films in those days . On the west coast they were far away from MPPC. -
