How It All Started
The film empire started with a $25,000 bet at a horse race. One man placed the bet that while a horse is running all four of its feet would be of the ground at once. So they set up a bunch of cameras in a line and took different pictures of the horse racing. -

The reason it started in Hollywood was because the weather there is a lot more better for making films -

In 1927 a film The Jazz Singer was the first film with sound in it. the name of it was Vitaphone. -
Disneys Rise
As most people know Diseny is one of the best if not the best movie industry. There first ever movie was a classic called Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. -
Color In Film
In 1918 one of the first films with color was created. The Wizard Of Oz was a breakthrough in the film industry. -
New York
Even though New York is a popular place and it would make sense to film a ton of movies there back in the day they didn't because of the bad lighting it gave off and the fog it always had.
