In the 1970s there was still no way to get movies and watch them at home. You had to go to the theater or wait for a movie to come on tv. Until the movie jaws came out and made blockbuster the norm. -

CGI
In the 1990s an effect was introduced that would change movies forever. This effect was called cgi or computer generated image. After this was introduced almost every movie company used it. -

One movie changed everything about movies. This movie was jurassic park this film showed the importance of cgi and how cool and effective it can be. This was one of the first major movies to rely on cgi and it was a success. -

In the 2000s the transition from film to digital began. Companies started to realize that more and more people were getting on the internet. So the companies started realizing they had to make digital movies. -
Avatar
In the mid 2000s the movie Avatar came out. it blew the whole country. The amount of cgi and special affects was unbelievable. the movie was a beautiful masterpiece and has inspired a lot more movies to be created using special affects and cgi. -

With all these new cameras and special affects companies realized they could make really exiting movies. In the mid 2000s super hero movies came to a rise with all the special affects and good story they could only go up from there. -
Endgame
When Avengers Endgame came out it immediately staring breaking the charts. This movie is considered revolutionary. Every marvel movie created before this was leading up to this. The amount of money, time, cgi, and special affects put into this is unbelievable even beating the movie Avatar.
