Motion Pictures Patent Company
Around December 1908, several companies wished to capitalize on the film-making business. Led by Thomas Edison, these companies formed a trust called Motion Pictre Patent Company( aka Edison Trust) the overall plan was to make it near-impossible for independent companies to compete as the MPC had patents on mltiple film spplies, however the MPPC did set a film standard. -
